Luke 9:28-31 (NIV)
The Transfiguration
28 About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and Jameswith him and went up onto a mountain to pray. 29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. 30 Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. 31 They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.
Here is another version of the Transfiguration. In it we can clearly see Moses representing the law and Elijah representing the prophets. The conversation was about his departure which was imminent once he arrived in Jerusalem. Jesus took the time to go over what was about to happen with those who had foreseen it and written about it.
Jesus was about to fulfill the law and the prophets and he had access to the best coaches possible. Who is your coach? Once you have your plan ready you need to review this with the coach. The coach is someone who has been there before and who can share with you what the road is going to look like.
Remember that the journey is for the traveler and not the guide. A good coach will not hold you back but he will tell you about what the road will look like.
If you don't have a coach perhaps we can help you.
On April 8 Gilgal Christian Community will be holding it Spring conference. We are all about church planting. If you would like to attend please call the church planter at 416 805 5850 or email The Church Planter at aaron@thechurchplanter.com
